Linking up with Jean for Bloomin' Tuesday.
Scabioso Columbaria aka Pincushion Flower hardiness 3a - 9b....seems just about everyone should be trying to grow this one. It is also one of those plants my husband purchased. Remember, everytime he goes to Lowe's the last thing he hears from me, other than I love you and be careful is, Bring me a surprise! And he always does good!
Ice plant and Angelina Sedum in the wheelbarrow below..
Virginia Sweetspire thanks to Ms. Doris Three Doors Down. I am just letting it ramble around this area. I also moved some to the larger garden. Hoping for delightful fall colors this year.
Petunias in a container, self sown Alyssum.
In an older post I shared my excitement in finding a light pink Larkspur, well just take a look at this darker pink. Still looking for a white one.
I posted the light pink cornflower in an older post, here are the other colors.
Grace a walking encyclopedia (remember those?) of gardening do's and don'ts shared seeds for this delicious pink last year. I saved seeds and sowed them this past fall. She also has an interesting writing blog at Subplots by Grace. Thank you my friend.
Along with the 120 Gladiola bulbs, which we put a dent in planting this weekend, I also received 120 Buttercup Picotee Ranunculus bulbs today. And another Agapanthus because I yelled, bring me a surprise.
The Orthopedic Surgeon along with myself are not pleased with the success or lack of the cortisone hip injection. We are scheduling another MRI and depending on the findings from that I may have another hip injection. I did receive some relief, although it was short lived. The first MRI was looking for a pinched nerve in two areas of my back and lower lumbar. This MRI will be focusing on the hip..tendons, ligaments, cartilage, inflammation and bone damage. He has said that I am a mystery, he just can't seem to pinpoint the origin of the pain. He is working very hard at trying to save my hip. Hopefully if I have a second hip injection I will receive a little more relief.
We have also discussed having a knee scope. All of this is making me giggle right now. I have been really gardening the last few days with the help of my children and my husband. I am however having to take a few pain meds everyday in order to withstand the discomfort. AND, I had the flu last week for several days....it was one of the worst! Oh what test am I being put through? Turning it up! Turning it all up!! Praise and Thanksgiving!!!
